UNILORIN: FACULTY OF EDUCATION PARLIAMENT SUSPENDS ERRING DIRECTOR-GENERAL

The faculty of education parliament led by Rt. Hon. Ogunlade Jesutofunmi on 13th February, 2016 made a decision of suspend by the Director-General of the Nigerian Universities Education Students Association, in person of Com. Afonja Olasubomi after the Comrade allegedly disrespected the parliamentary house.
Multiple witnesses confirmed that the accused threw a tantrum, insulting the parliament leadership and was violent in act. It took the collaborative efforts of the Chief Whip, another Senator from the Department of Adult and Primary Education together with the NUESA President (Shevman) before they could finally restraint him.
The Central Executive Council was at the parliamentary session to defend its budget for the 2015/2016 academic session when the incident happened. Speaking on the issue, the speaker of the house, Rt. Hon. Jesutofunmi, together with some Honourables said this was not the first time, Comrade of the Afonja Subomi would show utter disrespect for the legislative arm of the students occasions. Hence, Comrade Afonja has been placed on suspension spanning four (4) weeks.
